Anna Piaggi, known as much for her exuberant ensembles as for her writing at Vogue Italia, has died at age 81.
Often described as a muse for fashion designers, Karl Lagerfield & John Galliano to name a few, Piaggi became well known internationally for her eccentric & colourful approach to fashion. She was well known for always completing her look with a hat or headpiece by milliner Stephen Jones.
Her passing provoked a number of tributes from around the world, VOGUE labeling her one of the world's greatest style icons. She truly was a style inspiration, a brilliant & original woman to say the least.
